The Population Management Regime has worked for the Island up to a point. But, in my view, it needs to be more ‘economy facing’ than ‘population control’. I don’t want to see the Island full up with thousands more people, but we do need to have a conversation about ‘economic value’.

In a tougher economic climate the Island needs to focus on younger and more vibrant businesses to replace that work force.

I will support and promote new business into the Island and assist the entrepreneurial spirit of the Island; and if it means a limited lift in population then so be it. Business brings jobs.
